Object documentation - individual research
Would you like to have a dossier created with all relevant information about a specific property?
We record all technical and historical data about your object, review relevant literature, databases and exhibition catalogs, and include them in your dossier. If necessary, we conduct archival research and write art-historically sound texts. This optimally prepares your object for potential sale, loan, or long-term preservation in your internal collection inventory. Our team is available to provide you with expert advice on sensible restoration measures and technological analyses. Upon request, we can also provide non-binding appraisals (e.g., for insurance purposes or estate planning). If restitution claims arise, we are available to advise you and mediate between you and the claimants (mediatiory solutions).

Do you have specific questions about your private or institutional collection?
You decide how deep our research should go: from an inventory, to an estimate of the current market value, to a risk analysis with regard to a public sale, to in-depth research of the entire collection or individual objects.
Our research is guided by scientific criteria: we research the literature, relevant databases and archives, and document the results. We conduct a brief check to determine the need for and potential for further provenance research. Through selective, in-depth research, if necessary in physical archives, we investigate possible suspected cases and provide mediation support for restitution claims.
Art consulting - Mediatory solutions
Do you own works of art or are you managing an estate and would like to gain clarity about the value and potential of individual objects?
We advise you on all matters relating to art objects and collections and work with you to develop solutions for dealing with objects or groups of objects. We support you in gaining an overview by creating collection inventories according to applicable standards , compiling information on the respective works of art, or researching the history of your collection. We also advise you on ways to enhance the value of your objects. We prepare appraisals and provide you with useful contacts . We provide advice and mediation for restitution claims (mediatiory solutions).
